Kekin Shah, a longtime resident of Rhode Island, began Shanix, Inc. as a closed-circuit television service company in 1981 along with his brothers. Overtime, Kekin recognized an absence in service to local businesses from local entities. Kekin then established his company with a “Focus Driven Customer Service”. With Kekin’s focus on service, both him and his team have been very successful and known for their Integration of Advanced Security, Audio-Visual and Mass Communications Systems.
Mustapha Gharaee been with Shanix from the very beginning in 1981. He holds degrees in Civil and Electrical Engineering from Roger Williams University and the Rhode Island School of Electronics (now part of Johnson & Wales University). Initially overseeing all sales and purchasing functions, he continues to be the main point of contact for many of our long-term clients and vendors.

Paula M. Montanaro joined the leadership team at Shanix in March 2016. She is the Controller of the company and is responsible for all financial functions as well as Human Resources. Paula brings to Shanix over 25 years of financial and managerial experience across various industries.
Anthony Costa has been working in the Security Industry for 32 years. He spent several years installing alarm systems before joining Shanix in 1995 as a Lead CCTV and Access Control Technician. In 2003, Anthony was promoted to the position of Project Manager to oversee our major install projects, as well as handling the design and sales of security systems to key company accounts. Anthony has held the position of Manager of the Installation and Service Departments since 2013,overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of more than 20 technicians.
Michael Brennan, MBA, is the Procurement Manager at Shanix where he is involved in many areas of the company operations providing management, guidance, training, and oversight. His goal is to increase greater productivity and efficiency across all areas of the company and be proactively out in front of the operational areas he touches as the company grows to extend its customer base with more sophisticate project work.
Prior to taking on his role at Shanix, Michael had extensive experience in Operations, Purchasing, and Project Management across many industries; Manufacturing, Banking Operations, Construction, and a B2B IT Sales Integrator as a Senior Manager.
His most enjoyable achievement in his career was being part of a team of 5 Senior Managers where he excelled on both the Operations and Sales side to be instrumental in growing a company from $11M to $70M.
Patrick Hay oversees Engineering and Technology at Shanix Technology. He is a trusted professional who has designed and implemented multiple large-scale system over his career.
With more than 14 years of Engineering experience in physical security, Patrick has led the efforts on system designs and deployment for multiple projects, including security and communications system for clients such as Lifespan Healthcare, Electric Boat, State of Rhode Island, and Massport.
Before joining Shanix Technology, Patrick launched his career at Smiths Detections, where he led the operations team and was responsible for engineering, deployment, and maintenance of First View systems worldwide. His expertise and professionalism have allowed him to be recognized as an expert in physical security and network infrastructure.
Patrick graduated with a Computer Science Degree from Rhode Island College and holds multiple certifications from leading vendors in Networking, Wireless Networking, CCTV, and Access Control.
Since joining Shanix in 2005, Jeff has quickly grown from an entry level technician to a leadership role in audio visual systems. His current responsibilities include system design, documentation, project management, programming, commissioning and account management. With many industry certifications including Crestron Certified Programmer & AVIXA CTS-I, Jeff is dedicated to pursuing advanced knowledge of the latest up and coming technologies.
Jeff’s core value is the desire to provide customers with streamlined solutions that meet their needs, are within their budgets and are easily utilized by their end users.
Since joining Shanix in 2004 as an installation and service technician, Nathan has filled many roles including: service and repair, service dispatching, invoicing, customer service, training, system design, project management, project engineering and sales.
Nathan holds more than fifteen manufacturer certifications for leading Access Control and Video Management Systems, is fluent with current industry standard network technologies, and has a BA degree from the University of Rhode Island.
Nathan’s current responsibilities include system design and sales for Enterprise Level Customers, including Lifespan Hospitals and the Care New England Health System.
Nathan excels at providing user-friendly, customized solutions that fit a customer’s need and budget.
